Premier League leader are stunned by Aston Villa after the dramatic late goal from Buendia. The game went as expected with both teams trying to attack at every opportunity.

Matty Cash with an amazing shot got Villa the lead on 36’ minute. Both teams could create chances but only Cash’ chance could convert into a goal. Villa led into the first half.

Arsenal had their equaliser on 52’ minute after Trossard get the deflected ball and scored the goal that gave Arsenal a chance to secure a point in this match.

But at the very last second of the game, Buendia scored a goal from a chaos in front of David Raya, and sent Arsenal home with nothing in their hands.

With this victory, Aston Villa moved to 2nd position in the Premier League table with only three points away from Arsenal, and if Manchester City could win their game against Sunderland, they would be second with only two points gap with The Gunners.

What’s Next For Both Teams in and out of Premier League

Unai Emery’s side will face FC Basel next in the Europa League on Thursday before they face West Ham in Premier League for gameweek 16 on the weekend.

Arsenal still maintain the top of the league even after this loss, but the gap from the competitors has decreased and they can’t afford to lose more points from now on.

Their next game will be against Club Brugge in the Champions League  on Wednesday, then they will face Wolves who are currently sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Arsenal will hope that Sunderland will give Manchester City a hard time and could potentially get a point from that match, but Man City are currently looking strong and can’t stop scoring. Pep Guardiola will see this Arsenal result as a booster for his team to chase the title after they failed to win the title last season due to bad performances in the second half of the season.
