Liverpool Vs Brighton in the Premier League
Liverpool Vs Brighton in the Premier League

The Premier League will see Liverpool  facing Brighton, a side that always makes a surprise and could give big teams a tough time when facing them.

Liverpool will come with a little confidence boost after their 1-0 win at San Siro against Inter Milan. Although many fans were saying that the win wasn’t quite convincing, it could be used as a boost for a team that is still struggling to find back their best performance this season.

After they failed to win against Leeds and Salah’s recent controversy, Liverpool are in the spotlight again. They could only get five points from 15 winnable points in the Premier League .Their win against Inter could also be seen as a pressure relief for Arne Slot.

Brighton are also hitting the inconsistent ground at this point where they only win two out of the five games in the Premier League. Last week against West Ham, they needed to wait until the additional time before scoring their equalizer at the 91’ minute. Their loss against Aston Villa was even worse when they couldn’t hold a 2-0 lead, and ended up losing 4-3 at home.

In the last five meetings of the two teams, Liverpool are ahead in term of head to head. Liverpool won three games in the last five meeting, while Brighton could only win one game from those five meetings.

In term of the table position, Brighton is now in the 8th position, two positions above Liverpool with same points of 23. Liverpool definitely want to climb up the table and challenge for a European spot for next season, but Brighton also don’t want to lose point and get out of the top 10.

With both teams have same points in the Premier League, this game will have a very high stake for both. Especially Liverpool who are still under pressure after all the spending during summer.

Team News Before The Premier League Match

Salah and Arne Slot
Salah and Arne Slot

After being dropped against Inter for his statement, Mohammad Salah is reportedly back in the squad for the Premier League gameafter a talk was held between him and Arne Slot on Friday. It still remains unclear whether Salah will be in the starting line up or he will start the game from the bench again.

Cody Gakpo will probably still be left out due to his injury, and Jaremy Frimpong is already back in the training but his fitness is still unclear. Conor Bradley will also not be available because he picked up five yellow cards already. It will be interesting to see how Slot will line up his team. Will he use the same starting against Inter, or will he do some changes.

For Brighton, they only lose Solly March and Webster who are still recovering, and James Milner is also doubted. Milner still has to do a fitness test before being confirmed to be able to play or not.
