Premier League: Liverpool looking like they are back to winning ways after they beat Brighton.

Liverpool were in high spirits after they won 1-0 in the Champions League against Inter Milan. They were playing very safe against Inter Milan and tried not to lose points, but against Brighton, they started to play more attacking football.

The result was Liverpool scored only 49 seconds into the game through Ekitike. Brighton defenders couldn’t anticipate the header from Joel Gomez, the ball then landed in Ekitike who was unmarked by Lewis Dunk.

After the goal, Brighton seemed like they couldn’t break Liverpool’s midfield and defense, but Liverpool also didn’t look as dangerous as they were at the start of the game. Ekitike got another chance on the 29’ minute, but his shot was slightly wide.

Nothing was really going on in the first half and it ended with a 1-0 lead for Liverpool.

In the second half, Brighton had an early chance at 50’ minute but Diego Gomes couldn’t convert it into a goal. Liverpool also got a chance from Moh Salah at 59’ minute who was back after being excluded in the last game. The chance turned into a corner kick that was taken by Salah. The corner kick was taken brilliantly by Salah who then found Ekitike unmarked again in the far post, and he easily headed the ball into the net.

Brighton couldn’t find a way to score a goal and the game ended with a 2-1 win for Liverpool.
