Premier League: Fastest Players to score 100 PL goals

Premier League is one of the best leagues where a lot of top talent make their career there. With its long history, there are also a lot of records made by all players that have ever played in this league.

One of the most remarkable milestones a player can have in the Premier League is scoring 100 goals. Till this day, only 34 players manage to reach the 100-goal mark. All of them achieve it with different paces.

Alan Shearer is still the holder of the fastest player to hit the 100 Premier League goals with only 124 appearances. He also, until today still holds the record for the Premier League all-time top goalscorer.

Shearer’s fastest 100-goal mark has been there since 1995, and since then, no players in the Premier League can break the record. But the record could be broken in a short time by one and only Erling Haaland. Haaland since his arrival in the PL has won two golden boots in three seasons. He only needs one more goal to achieve the century mark.

He failed to hit that mark and break Shearer’s record in Newcastle’s home ground last week, as Man City was beaten 2-1 by the home team. With 99 goals in just 109 Premier League games under his name, it won’t be long until he finally breaks the record that already stood for three decades.

1. Alan Shearer

He was a very prolific goalscorer for Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle. He set the record of 100 goals in just 124 appearances in December 1995. He was also very prolific for England’s National Team during his team.

2. Harry Kane

Harry Kane’s career with Tottenham Hotspurs was flooded with goals and finally got his 100-goal mark on his 141st appearances. Harry Kane was very lethal in front of the goal and he don’t need tooo much space to launch his shoot.

3. Sergio Aguero

Before Man City got Haaland with his ability to score goals in any condition, there was Sergio Aguero that terrorized the Premier League. He scored goals for fun and hit the century mark with his game no.147.

4. Thierry Henry

Henry is considered by fans to be the greatest player in PL history, completing his 100-goal mark in 160 appearances. Under Arsene Wenger, Henry was a beast and very hard to be stopped by defenders.

5. Mohammad Salah

Out of those five names only two are currently active and only Moh Salah who is still playing in English’s top division. Harry Kane also has has the dream to break the all-time top scorer record that held by Alan Shearer. It will be interesting if by chances Kane can return to England and breaks the record.

For the fastest 100-goal mark, Erling Haaland will definitely break it this season. Only 12 games have been played by all clubs, and there are enough time for him to score one more goal and claim the new fastest record to score century in PL.
