Premier League’s big clubs could be in the race to sign Serhou Guirassy from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2026.
Guirassy has a fantastic season after his move to Dortmund in 2024 from Vfb Stuttgart with 47 goals and 13 assists in his 67 appearances. His contract is still valid until 2028, but the possibility for him to leave Dortmund at the end of the season is still imminent with some Premier League clubs looking for a striker next season.
There are some rumors this summer that some clubs are in contact with Guirassy’s representative, but no club activated his release clause until the end of the transfer window. According to Sky Sport, the release clause is not valid for the January transfer window, but will be active again in the summer.
The release clause is reported to be €50 million (£43.8m), but only applied to selected European’s top clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Premier League’s clubs like Man City, Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool. Other clubs that want to sign him will have to pay for more money. Read more articles about Premier League on Price In UK
It was reported that his transfer fee would be between €60 to €75 million last summer, but he will be cheaper to sign next summer with the “staggered clause.”

Guirassy has said that he is hungry for titles, and if Dortmund fail to compete for any trophies, he might about taking his career elsewhere. He was offered a massive salary by Saudi’s side, Al Hilal last summer. But Guinea’s international has ruled out the idea of going to Saudi.
His move to the Premier League will not be easy as PL’s clubs might think twice before signing a striker that is close to 30-year old for a big money. Yoane Wissa who is only seven months younger than Guirassy joins Newcastle United for £55 million this summer hasn’t step his foot on the pitch since his move due to long injury.
Premier League’s Club’s Trend to Sign Young Strikers
This season, many Premier League’s club decided to sign younger strikers to their squad rather than going for more senior players. Maybe the only thing that troubles some fans is the price tags of those young strikers are usually more expensive than the more senior striker.

Liverpool signed Hugo Eketike from Eintrach Frankfurt for £79 million. Manchester United signed Benjamin Sesko for a transfer fee of £73.7 from RB Leipzig. Newcastle United signed Nick Woltemade with club’s record transfer fee of £69 million from Vfb Stuttgart. Chelsea signed two young strikers this summer with Liam Delap from Ipswich Town for £30 million and also Joao Pedro from Brighton for £60 million.
Arsenal are the only one that decide to go for more experienced striker this summer with the signing of Victor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. Arsenal was initially wanted to sign Sesko before he decided that he didn’t want to sign for Arsenal.
