Premier League four-peat manager Pep Guardiola has called Haaland’s rapid 100-goal mark for PL as ‘insane’.

Haaland with his 100th league goal when Man City faced Fulham was probably the least insane thing that happened during that game that ended with the score of 5-4.

Haaland only needed 17 minutes before he netted the goal that immortalised his name in the Premier League’s Record book. The Norwegian became the 35th player to ever score 100 goals in the Premier League, and did it in a style that will be very hard to replicate, after doing it in just 111 games.

Alan Shearer held the record for 30 years after scoring 100 goal in 124 appearances, before Haaland broke it on Tuesday.

“When I arrived, if you told me that in 111 games, he scored 100 goals, I’d say, ‘Are you sure? In this league’? But he did it. The numbers are insane. Insane,” said City boss Guardiola.

“For sure he’s one of the best. For the strikers, it’s a question of numbers and his numbers have no discussions.

“You are British and you bring the best strikers to this country, so Erling is one of them.

“I am happy for him and happy for the team to deliver this day for him. And let’s continue.”

Haaland told Man City’s website that he will always remember this goal forever: “Of course, it means a lot.

“First of all, to score a 100 goals in the Premier League for City is a thing of course I wanted to do when I came here.

“But this quickly, I didn’t expect. Now it’s happened, I’m super proud. It’s a huge thing.

“I think after my career, when I look back at this it will be a huge moment this game and also a game I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”

It was a Premier League’s match under the rain at Craven Cottage that will be remembered for a long time.

Manchester City were leading by 5-1 and looked like a game over already, with Haaland scored the opener, then Reijnders scored the second goals, Phil foden had brace to add and made it dour, and Doku’s deflected shot made it five goals for City.

Emile Smith row scored a goal before the halftime whistle, and the carnage really happened in the second half with Iwobi curling a shot for the opener.

Samuel Chukwueze that came from the bench scored a quick brace and made City look like they were done. Josh King scored the last goal of the match.

“Disappointed because we didn’t get anything from the fighting spirit we showed, but we have to take the positives,” said Iwobi.

“We put on a show, but unfortunately it wasn’t the result we wanted.”

After the chaotic Tuesday game, Manchester City have successfully cut the point gap with Arsenal to just two points at the moment, with Arsenal yet to play their mid week game against Brentford. If The Gunners failed to get three points, it will be a huge boost for Man City in the title battle.

Man City will face newly promoted Sunderland on Saturday and they surely want to win that match to keep the chance for the title stay alive.

While Man City had a good night, Fulham, with this result are down to 15th position with 17 points after five wins and seven losses this season.
