Manchester United were reportedly going for Sergio Ramos after his contract at Monterrey ended. Ramos was also reported to be exploring the managerial side of the game. WIth the move to United, he reported to be an interim for Ruben Amorim and also as the player.

Sergio Ramos is considered a legend by fans of Real Madrid after winning UCL four times with them during his time there. He spent 16 years at Madrid and was one of the important players for many managers. He was playing Under the like of Carlo Ancheloti, Zinedine Zidane, Jose Mourinho.

After leaving Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos played for PSG, Sevilla, the Monterrey. Ramos as famous with his no-nonsense defending style and his ability to score as a defender.

However, sources from ESPN reported that Manchester United are not interested in signing Ramos for the remaining season. The reason behind this is also due to the new transfer policy applied by INEOS to be focused more towards signing young players, and players in their prime age with Premier Leagues experience.

CEO Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox as the Director of Football were of the same idea that Manchester United were doing a lot of things wrong for their transfer policy. Manchester United were signing aging players with inflated wages like Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, and the one who is still at the club right now, Casemiro.

The restructure of the board members also means new policies that could be unpopular for some. Many fans are saying that Man United are starting to move like Chelsea by signing so many young talents and trying to sell them for profit if they are not seen as part of the first team in the future.

Fans also voicing the same reaction after the rumor broke up in the social media. Many said that Manchester United don’t need another aging players with high wage in the club, and club should reinvest to younger players that could play for the team longer.
