Chelsea are reportedly eying Nottingham Forest’s 23-year old defender Murillo. The Brazil international is also looking to seek a new challenge for next summer.
Murillo was signed by Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2023 and named Forest’s player of the season in the same season. He is a very reliable center back who could do a lot of things outside his defensive duty, with him being paired with Nokila Milenkovic the back line of Forest have been nothing but solid.
The £15 million investment totally paid off with that kind of performance. WIth Nuno Espírito Santos as the manager, Murillo became one of the most outstanding defenders in the Premier League.
However, Chelsea is not alone in this pursuit as Real Madrid are also keen on signing Murillo. Real Madrid have been in the injury crisis lately and they really need reinforcement in the position of defender. Currently, Madrid have five defenders injured and one of them is Eder Militao who is very prone to injury the last few seasons.
Murillo has been catching the eyes of many elite European sides lately including Chelsea who are looking to strengthen their defense, with his performance in keeping Forest defense safe. Even when Forest have been struggling after Santos left the club.
Daily Mail have been reporting that Murillo is keen to leave the City Ground next year. He still has a contract until 2029, and that could be a leverage for Forest to demand a high transfer fee for him.
Nottingham Forest are reluctant to let him leave in January, so any business for Murillo will be happening in the summer, and Forest are likely to ask more than £55 million based on the fee they asked for Newcastle to get Elanga.
Murillo About Being Linked With Chelsea

Murillo has a dream to play for the European’s elite team and represent them in the Champions League, and also challenge for titles in every season.
