Apple TV has officially announced that they will continue one of their drama series, Platonic, for season 3. Here are the details:

Meet Apple TV’s Comedy Series, ‘Platonic‘
Labeled under the comedy genre, Apple TV+ series Platonic follows the story of Will and Sylvia (played by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne), two former best friends who reconcile in their 40s after a long-drawn-out breakup.
They show that adult friendships are challenging but rewarding by navigating challenging divorces, career setbacks, and midlife obstacles while trying to rekindle their deep but complicated platonic bond. The show explores their renewed friendship as their lives diverge, which often leads to amusing situations as they support one another while also reverting to their previous, somewhat chaotic ways.
Under the division of Stoller’s Global Solutions of Sony Pictures Television, the show was created by Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco with executive producers that include Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Byrne, Stoller, Delbanco, and Conor Welch for Point Grey Pictures.

What To Expect In Season Three
It is anticipated that Sylvia and Will may launch their own Sh*tty Little Bar in the third season. This comes after the Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne-led series’ second ten-episode run, which ended in October. In the second season, Sylvia Byrne and Will Rogen dealt with a number of problems in their friendship, such as Will’s failing marriage, Sylvia’s successful party career, and difficulties with her husband, Charlie (played by Luke Macfarlane), a lawyer turned writer.
At the final episode of the second season, Byrne’s real-life spouse, Bobby Cannavale, makes a special appearance as Charlie’s action hero, Brett Cayote. Carla Gallo plays Sylvia’s friend Katie, who also had an affair with Will, and Andrew Lopez plays Will’s former boss Reggie, also present in the series. In order to get around a non-compete agreement, Will and Sylvia decide to start a pub together at the end of the season.
Regarding the news, the production team expresses their excitement. Stoller and Delbanco said, “We couldn’t be more excited to get back into the world of Platonic with our amazing partners, Rose and Seth and Sony and Apple”.
Head of programming for Apple TV, Matt Cherniss, also commented, “Platonic is proof there is no duo better at making us belly laugh at mid-life crises than Seth and Rose. Nick and Francesca accomplished the rare feat of taking the show to the next level in season two, and, along with our partners at Sony, we can’t wait to see what they cook up for season three.”
