In this event, they will offer gift cards worth up to $250 with the purchase of eligible Macs, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and other products.
For example, purchasing an iPad Air, iPad, or iPad mini will earn users a gift card of up to $100, while purchasing an eligible Apple Watch will earn them a $50 gift card.
This event sparked many reactions from the public, some are positive, while others are negative. One Reddit user tweeted, “I thought maybe there’d be a discount, I was wrong. Silly me.”
A different reaction was tweeted by another user, “For me it was a decent offer. I was going to buy AirPods Pro 3, but were waiting until today to see if there was any offers in my country. No shops have them on sale, so I bought them from Apple and got a gift card I can use on hardware or subscriptions in the its Store, so I will have saved money either way 🤷🏻♂️ Interestingly enough, the order confirmation has priced the AirPods with a discount equal to the gift card, And my card was charged the discounted price plus the value of the gift card in separate transactions. Funny way of doing it.”
As for now, users can find AirPods Pro 3 for $30 off, AirPods 4 for $60 off, AirPods Max for $150 off, and some MacBooks and iPads at discounts that could be bigger at the company’s official Amazon store.
All in all, the company sometimes faces server strain that causes slowdowns or brief outages during busy periods like Black Friday or major show launches. For example, thousands of users reported its TV+ service’s errors during a big premiere of Pluribus in 2025. Another example is happening with the same event, where its online store has gone down during heavy shopping traffic for 32 minutes in 2018’s Black Friday.
IT experts often note that even with the company’s large global server network, sudden spikes in streaming, downloads, or purchases can overwhelm systems faster than they can scale, leading to loading errors or temporary service interruptions.
