According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the next iOS update will be more focused on improving existing performance and quality rather than introducing new features. Described as the “Snow leopard” update, the company seems to be focusing on finding iOS 26’s bugs, bloat, and any performance issues to fix them in the next update.
Liquid Glass
Continuing iOS 26’s liquid glass design use, iOS 27 will be continuing the design with further adjustment, along with the feedback from iOS 26.1 and iOS 26.2 updates.
Apple Intelligence, Siri, and Health+
In iOS 27, the company will put a big update on its Siri and Apple Intelligence features. Reportedly, the company is now working on an Intelligence feature for its Siri with the name “World Knowledge”. It is actually a Siri search feature that can provide information on general search queries.
Not only the add-on, Siri will also get a new design in the next update. The rumor suggests the company will introduce more animated designs of the feature, similar to the Mac Finder Logo.
Furthermore, the company is also rumored will be introducing a new paid health service that includes nutritional planning and medical suggestions in iOS 27. This feature is a personalized tool that will provide health metrics and trends from the health app to each of its users to improve their health based on their needs.

The company is also reportedly working on new satellite features for its iPhone that are rumored to be introduced in 2027. Although the timing is still unclear, this project is rumored to include:

- Satellite for Photos in Message
- Third party apps’ Satellite API framework
- 5G Satellite
- Satellite that able to make connectivity without the need of a sky view
Foldable Phone Series
Apple is rumored to launch its first foldable phone next year, in 2026. Named iPhone Fold, it is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch display when folded, and a 7.8-inch display when it’s opened up. That would make the phone have such a book-like design.
There are still no specific details on how the company will make iOS to assist Fold, but the public expects some iPad-like options, including sidebars and multitasking views with support for multiple windows.
However, many public claim that this innovation in model and design seems old-fashioned and outdated compared to Android-based phone brands that have launched smartphones with the same model first, such as Samsung, Google, and Vivo.

Launch Date
