Premier League is back this weekend, and gameweek 16 provides some interesting fixtures. One of the many fixtures to watch is Crystal Palace versus Manchester City which will be played at Selhurst Park. This match will be interesting because the stake is high for both clubs. City with their chance to take over the lead, and Palace with their chance to fight for the UCL spot.
Palace will host the red hot Man City who have been nothing but strong in the last few weeks. Winning all last five games in the league and beating Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Palace are also in good form in the Premier League recently. Winning three of the last five Premier League games, only lost against Manchester United and drew against Brighton. This good performance by Oliver Glasner’s side will be a good foundation for them to fight Man City and get all the points to retain the top four position.

In the last five games against each other in the Premier League and FA Cup, Manchester City won two games and Palace only won one of them, with one game ending in a draw. Palace’s win was very crucial because they beat Man City in the FA Cup final that gave them their first major trophy.

Both teams have a good striker, Mateta with Palace and Haaland the robot with Man City. Both players are in a good form and ready to punish any mistake made by defenders. Mateta has created seven goals from 15 appearance so far this season, and Haaland, the fastest player to score 100 goals in the Premier League, has scored 15 goals in 15 appearances this season.
Team News For The Premier League Game

Crystal Palace will be without Munoz who has been one of their important players since last season. They will also be without Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad who have been injured and still need more time to recover. Ismaila Sarr is doubted after getting a knock in the training and Mateta also reportedly has an uncomfortable feeling in his muscle.
Oliver Glasner is hoping that Mateta and Sarr will be available when asked about team news during the pre-match interview, Glasner Said:
“All who played should be fine, and then we hope that JP [Mateta] and Ismaïla Sarr are available for the game.
“Of course, we need to train with them and see if there is any reaction, but it looks good and looks okay right now.
“It will give us a few more options and it’s important to have these options against City.”
For Manchester City, they will still be without Rodri and Mateo Kovacic who will be sidelined longer than Rodri. Man City have been playing with their best defensive midfielder and the player who is supposed to cover for him. But Pep Guardiola seems to find a replacement for Rodri in Nico Gonzalez who has been vital in the team’s midfield.
