It means that Manchester United are in the situation where they could not do any business with other interested clubs. Because even if United have an agreement to sell Rashford to other clubs, he could simply refuse the contract offers from other clubs.
Marcus Rashford has been an important player for Barca, and loosing him might affect the performance of the Spanish giant, as his injury alone really affecting the performance of Barca.
And looking at the financial condition of Barcelona, they will get the most benefit from this situation. Barcelona actually have an option to buy for under £30 million at the end of the loan period for Rashford. But they look like they will do anything not to pay that amount of money. Either they will ask for another loan deal or they will ask for a lower transfer fee for Marcus.
Manchester United Need to Sell Rashford
Originally, Manchester United will open the sale of Marcus Rashford elsewhere if Barca refuse or couldn’t afford the fee already stated in the loan agreement. There are several clubs that are interested in signing the United academy product in the summer. PSG and Tottenham Hotspurs are two European clubs that are reportedly interested.
Certainly, both clubs will be willing to pay more than £30 million looking at Rashford’s recent form. His six goals and 10 assists are good indications that the England international is finding his form at Barcelona, and with Manchester United looking to sell him to boost their transfer budget, Rashford’s stance could be a big blow.
