European competitions for Premier League representatives
European competitions for Premier League representatives

Premier League will send six representatives to European competitions every season that come through the top 6 of the table.

The top four of the table will join the Champions League as the first tier European competition. The fifth position in the table together with the FA Cup winner will compete in the second tier of European competition, UEFA Europa League. And the sixth position will compete in the newest addition of UEFA Europa Conference League.

There will be seven representatives from the Premier League, but only six that will come from the result of the table at the end of the season.

This season we see a very competitive campaign in the Premier League where only four points separating 4th and 12th position. This means that there are chances for many teams to challenge the top six position to qualify for the European competitions next season.

Some teams will aim for the Champions League spot while others will be happy if they could secure a position in Europe. Currently, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Crystal Palace are the teams that are close enough to battle each other for the one remaining position to qualify for the Champions league.

And it will be very interesting to see which club will represent the Premier League in Europe next season.

Clubs are trying to qualify for Europe not only to participate in the tournaments, but also they could generate more earnings to help them build and strengthen their squad and facilities. European competitions are offering huge money even for just participating in the competition.

Especially for big teams, it will also be a prestige status for them. As we already know, big teams are always related with their participation in European competitions, and how far they could go in the respective competitions.
