Fulham vs Crystal Palace in the Premier League

Premier League had another interesting match when Fulham hosted the on-fire Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage. The game looked like it would end up in a draw after both teams showed a solid performance.

Marc Guehi made the difference this time with a header three minutes before the normal time ended. The Palace captain fired a header from a corner kick to put Palace as the winner.

Crystal Palace had the lead first after Eddie Nketiah scored the first goal in the 20’ minute into the game. Harry Wilson then scored the equaliser only seven minutes before the half-time with a brilliant curled shot. The first half ended with a 1-1 draw for both sides.

The second half started with the same intensity and same goals to win the game from both sides. Some chances were created but none could pass both goalkeepers. Until in the 87’ minute a corner kick was given to Crystal Palace and it was taken beautifully for Marc Guehi to score the header.

Fulham could lead the game in the second half after Emile Smith Rowe scored a tap in, but it was later ruled out for an offside by Samuel Chukwueze in the build up.

This is the second loss for Fulham in this week after a thrilling nine goals drama for their defeat against Manchester City.

After struggling to maintain a consistent performance due to playing in the Conference League while having a packed schedule in the Premier League. They could find a way out once again with this performance.

After this match, Crystal Palace currently sit in 4th position which makes them in the Champions league spot. Their 26 points from 15 games is also a new record tally for them in the Premier League.

After this game, they will play in the Conference league on Thursday facing Manchester City in the weekend in the Premier League, where Manchester City is in a mission to maintain their position in the 2nd place with only two points away from Arsenal. Certainly not an easy week for Oliver Glasner, but they need to maintain their form if they want to qualify for European football next season.

Fulham will face Burnley in The Premier League to bounce back after their two defeats in a row this week. Burnley have been struggling after their amazing start of the season, so it will be a good chance for them to get three points and secure their position from bottom three in the table.

As for Fulham, this result got them in 15th position only four points above the relegation zone. They need to pick up their performance if they want to comfortably fight in the mid table.

Both teams have their own issues, Palace with the packed Schedule with the Conference League, and Fulham still trying to find their rhythm to climb the table away from the relegation zone.
