Improved Sleep Score And Notification Controls Features

Sleep Score, which offers a nightly score and classification of the user’s sleep on the Watch, is one of the main features in watchOS 26.
In this watchOS 26.2 update, the company is introducing significant adjustments to the classification levels for Sleep Score. Additionally, the highest classification level will now be called “Very High” instead of “Excellent.”
As of watchOS 26.2, these are the new Sleep Score levels:
- Very Low: 0-40 points
- Low: 41-60 points
- OK: 61-80 points
- High: 81-95 points
- Very High: 96-100 points
Furthermore, there’s no change to how users’ Watch gathers and evaluates the Sleep Score based on that guidance.
The modifications are also being made based on data the company has obtained through the Apple Heart and Movement Study. In essence, Apple has been able to improve the Sleep Score feature as it has collected more information and input.
Fixed Apple Music App’s Issue

This watchOS 26.2 update also fixed the bug in its Music feature, where the app fails to advance to the next song.

Enhanced Safety Alerts Tools

Through the new update, now, with comprehensive information including a map of impacted areas and access to more safety guidelines (available in the US), Enhanced Safety Alerts can alert its users to impending dangers like floods, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
Wi-Fi Sharing Features On EU Users

Thus, there is one new feature (Enhanced Safety Alerts), one updated feature (Sleep Score), and one important bug fix (Music song development). In addition to these three modifications, another known upgrade for watchOS 26.2 relates to EU customers’ ability to share Wi-Fi between their iPhone and Watch.
The company is altering the way the iPhone and Watch share Wi-Fi networks in order to comply with the EU’s DMA. This update begins with iOS 26.2 and watchOS 26.2, where the iPhone will no longer be able to sync its Wi-Fi history with a freshly linked Apple Watch.
The work process will be as follows:
- Your linked Apple Watch will automatically share the network with your iPhone when it connects to a known network.
- As long as your iPhone and Apple Watch are in the same location at the same time, any new networks you connect to on your iPhone will be automatically shared to your Apple Watch.
- The Wi-Fi network won’t be synchronized if the two devices aren’t together.
For example:
If you have both your iPhone and Watch with you when you visit a coffee shop whose Wi-Fi you have previously used on your iPhone, the network information is shared with your Watch. However, you’ll need to connect your Watch manually if your iPhone is not with you and you only have your Watch.
Regarding this update, one comment on Reddit reads, “EU wanted every third party to be able to get all iPhone saved WiFi and passwords, this would be an horrible privacy issue. Also know every WiFi device you been close. So companies like meta could track and know your location. Well done Apple. “
