Manchester United are still looking to overhaul their midfield and also strengthen other areas like the wing-back where they have very limited options. Conor Gallagher, who is reportedly ready to leave Atletico, also piqued the interest of Man United and many other Premier League clubs, with United reportedly leading the race.
Manchester United, Tottenham, Everton, and Newcastle are all reported to have interest in signing Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid in the January Transfer window per Fabrizio Romano. Man United reportedly have made a loan offer with an option to buy, but Atletico directly said no to that offer. Atletico might want €30 million for a deal to get the Englishman.
He wasn’t seen as a priority last summer, but with Ruben Amorim looking to strengthen the midfield, Gallagher might be the most reasonable option in January. Also with European football as the target for next season, United will certainly work to make a proper squad depth.
Gallagher is reportedly looking for a move to get more game time to convince England’s National team to choose him for the World Cup squad.
While Gallagher will be the highlight for the January window, Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson are the names who have been a hot topic for the next season’s summer transfer window.
Premier League’s big clubs like Man City and Man United are the competitors for their signature next season with Tottenham also keen to snatch a deal to one of them. The market for midfielders are very interesting to watch next summer because teams like United and Spurs are looking to do a rebuild, while Man City are looking for a player to cover for Rodri who has issues with injuries.
As for the wingback position, early reports say that Manchester United might go for Eintracht Frankfurt’s left back, Nathaniel Brown. It won’t be easy for The Red Devils because there are also reports that two Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen on the young left back.
According to Florian Pattenberg, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are all keeping an eye to Nathamiel Brown after his impressive performance this season. Madrid in particular have sent their scouts to directly watch and judge the performance and to analyze whether or not he will be a good fit for the Real Madrid team.
Some reports said that the left wing-back position will also be a priority for Man United in the next windows. Currently due to the lack of squad depth and the performance of Patrick Dorgu who is yet to get a grip to play with the pressure of being Manchester United’s player.

Manchester United Players Asking to Leave in January

While Man United are looking for new midfielders, Kobbie Mainoo is once again asking to leave the club in January. HIm and Joshua Zirkzee have been hinting that the lack of game times really affected their chance to play in next year’s FIFA World Cup. While United are still trying to block the move for Mainoo, they will consider letting Zirkzee leave with AS Roma ready to make an offer for the Dutch’s striker.
Moving back to Italy might be a good choice for Zirkzee because he had a good season with Bologna and helped the team to qualify for the Champions League. Get more Manchester United related news on Price In UK
Until now there are no concrete reports about which club Mainoo will choose if United let him leave in January, but Napoli who were asking the condition of the 20-year old last summer might be a good option. There are some familiar faces in the squad like Scott Mctominay and also Rasmus Hojlund who has just signed for Napoli this season.
