Manchester United suffered a loss at home against 10 men Everton Fc in the Gameweek 13 of the Premier League. After just 13 minutes into the game, Idrisa Gueye got sent off by the referee after his fight with Michael Keane, his own teammate.
Despite having numerical advantage for 77 minutes, The Red devil failed to score a single goal while Everton’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored the winning goal and also the only goal of the match in the 29’ minute.
This season against Chelsea, Man United Successfully use their numerical advantage and win the match by 2-1.
The absence of Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha meant Joshua Zirkzee needed to fill the gap and play as the starting striker in this match. Amad Diallo who usually plays in the right wing back also changed his position and played as the left attacking midfielder against Everton.
Matheus Cunha is expected to be back next week, while Benjamin Sesko will be absent for three to four weeks.
Ruben Amorim watched his Manchester United toil for 77 minutes. He watched Amad Diallo get many things wrong as he tried to create something. Leny Yoro and Patrick Dorgu gave the ball away with no pressure. Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbuemo, usually reliable, also failed to execute their chances.
Bryan Mbuemo has contributed nine goals and assist so far this season for Man United.
Ruben Amorim in Friday’s interview said that a five unbeaten games could turn into three winless games. With a trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on gameweek 14, it will not be an easy match to break the current winless momentum.
He said “I know which point we are in, I have that feeling during this run. I always talk about that”
“We are not there, not even near the point we should be to fight for the best position in the league.”
“We have a lot to do and we need to be perfect to win games. We were not perfect today.” he added.
Manchester United’s Trends of Unable to Hold Advantage
Previous two games against Nottingham Forest and Spurs, had they maintained their lead in the first half and not made costly mistakes that took three points away, Man United could have been in the second position in the ‘as it stands’ table.

The result seems to break the good momentum that has been built since early October. Where United’s side have five games unbeaten in the league. Check out the continuation of the in-depth review curated by the editorial team at Price In UK.

The disappointing result saw Manchester United at the 10th position in the current Premier League tables. Even with just three points away from the top four spot, United is in the middle of clubs like Liverpool, Tottenham, and Everton who also want to claim the Champion’s League spot for next season.
Certainly, Amorin doesn’t want to finish at the same position as last season, where Man United finished in 15th position. Their worst ever position in the end of the season.
Since the arrival of Ruben Amorim, Man United have had more loses than wins. It certainly raise some concerns about how Amorim leads the team.
Next match, United have to face Crystal Palace who have been having a positive momentum and strong performance. United Certainly need a good result to bounce back from three winless games in November. Good result certainly will create a good momentum for United.
Manchester United’s Manager View About the Fight
During the interview after the match, Ruben Amorim released a statement that he agrees with what David Moyes said about the fight between the Everton’s players.

“Fighting is not a bad thing,” he said. “Fighting doesn’t mean that they don’t like each other.
“Fighting is that you lose the ball and ‘I will fight you because we will suffer a goal’.
“I hope my players, when they lose the ball, fight each other.”
