Racing magnate John Singleton is offloading his horse racing empire as well as his Central Coast home to move to the beach.
Singleton, 81, is putting his $100 million empire up for sale after revealing his promise to retire from the sport.
‘I feel sorry for those old blokes’ race,’ Singleton, 81, told News Corp. ‘I always said I’d be sold out doing this for 50 years.’
Singleton has more than 100 horses for sale at his Strawberry Hill stud, including mares, foals, yearlings and racehorses. He is also putting his Mount White home on the market. The sale is expected to generate consolidated proceeds of $100 million.
His racing career saw him ride outstanding horses including More Joyce, Gypsy Kingdom and Strawberry Road.

Singleton, 81, is selling more than 100 horses at his Strawberry Hill stud.
Reflecting on his time in racing, Singleton – said: ”It’s been a hell of a ride.
‘Life’s highs and lows are all in a business where horses run round and round in a circle,’ he said.
Singleton plans to ‘end up on a beach’ and is looking for an uncrowded place in Australia.
He initially wanted to spend six months of the year in Hawaii, but sold his $9.3 million luxury beach home in February 2022 because he missed his homeland.
‘There was no horse racing, no NRL and no newspapers – what were you going to do there?’ she said.
The six-times married Singleton – a former advertising personality and radio and television entrepreneur – recently split with girlfriend Kim Dennis, but has since found a new love.
The 81-year-old is reluctant to digress about the new relationship, but said: ‘I won’t be on the beach by myself.’
