In one clip, the Florida-based server and influencer details various things that annoy him while he’s waiting tables.

Make a hostess happy! 10 Things Customers Do That Make a Server Angry

Don’t say thank you Don’t constantly ask questions Finish their drink before ordering food Have their kids order their food instead of reading out loud what they want on the menu Being on their phone while ordering their food Not responding when a server greets them Changing their order Rudely asking for refills Getting angry at the server if you order the wrong thing

Shantel captioned the video: ‘Repost to save a server from going to jail or losing their job.’

‘I’m just leaving work and today I decided to make a video about the top 10 things that annoy me as a server because common sense isn’t so common these days,’ he said at the start of the video.

He then revealed the first thing that annoyed him was when customers ‘downed their drinks in 15 seconds.’

He explains that finishing your drink before taking your order will make him angry because ‘you’re already driving him’.

‘Number nine, point to the menu and tell me what you want instead of just reading it out loud. If you can’t read, don’t come to the restaurant because I don’t have time,’ she said.

Shantel said she hates when people let their kids order their own food, misread the menu and get angry when the order is wrong, ask for refills by ‘shaking your glass or whistling’ and are on their phone while ordering.

The waitress added that when people tried to take their orders on their phones, she would simply leave and come back later.

‘Number four, constantly changing your order. You eat that after I send it to the kitchen, I won’t,’ Shantel explained.

‘You should have read that menu, you should have known what you wanted.’

The third thing that annoys him, the waitress said, is that he hates when people constantly ask him for things.

He explains that if you ask him for one item and then immediately request something else, he gets angry when he takes your first request.

Shantel said she hates when people point to what they want from the menu instead of reading it aloud

‘No no no. I’m not going back. That is your problem. It’s exciting as f***, stop running me.’

Next, he said that ignoring him when he greeted you would ‘piss him off.’

Which of these things do you do when dining out?

Shantel said that unless everyone at the party responded to her when she greeted them, she would leave.

Finally, he said he was fired if customers didn’t say ‘thank you’.

‘Number one is coming on strong, it’s the easiest way to excite me, piss me off, never make me come back to your table,’ she said.

“Please, thank you, can I” doesn’t make my blood boil. Like your parents didn’t teach you to say thank you when you were little?’

‘Being a server takes a lot of work, especially if you work in a busy place. Say thank you if I refill your drink, say thank you if I bring your food,’ Shantel continued.

The server added that it makes him angrier when people don’t use etiquette than when they don’t tip.

One person said: ‘It’s common sense of course, if you’re at home you’ll have everything you need before you sit down to eat, so why keep asking for things.’

Another commented: ‘I don’t even work in the restaurant industry, but I understand you, and I take everything you consider when I go to a restaurant.’

Another user added: ‘I use to be a server. That’s right.’

However, other social media users slammed the server, claiming they wished they never had her as a waitress while dining.
