According to local news in Japan, doctor Osamu Tamura (59) and his daughter Runa (29) have now been arrested on suspicion of involvement in her murder.

An autopsy on Ura’s mutilated body revealed that her cause of death was hemorrhagic shock caused by bleeding from stab wounds.

His head was cut with a blade, after which it was taken from the crime scene.

Mr Tamura and his daughter were reportedly arrested on Monday in connection with Mr Ura’s brutal beheading.

Police are now working to establish whether there was any connection between the pair and Mr Ura, as well as a possible motive.

Police told Japanese newspaper The Mainichi that Mr Tamura’s daughter may have been known to the victim before the horrific incident.

However, they are yet to reveal whether either of the arrested duo has confessed to any charges.

Investigators claimed Mr Ura and another man – believed to be Runa – entered the hotel at around 10.50pm local time on July 1.

Although the victim never emerged, her partner reportedly left the ‘love hotel’ at 2am.

Police suspect Mr. Tamura dropped in and picked up his daughter, but say he did not enter the building.
