Queen Letizia of Spain radiated effortless glamor as she attended the opening of the new Royal Collection Gallery in Madrid this evening.

The European royal, 50, looked sensational in a black and white floral midi dress for the occasion.

The mother-of-two’s stunning 1960s-style gown features a silk black belt with an elegant bow detail.

Along with a full skirt, the elegant dress also featured a fitted bodice and thick black straps.

The royal paired her show-stopping frock with some simple black high heels and a matching silk clutch bag.

What’s more, Letizia styled her shoulder-length brown hair in Hollywood-style waves for the Royal Collection gallery visit.

The Queen opted for her signature bronzy makeup and brown smokey eye – which she paired with a nude lipstick.

The royal kept her jewelery to a minimum – opting for a pair of diamond-encrusted silver hoop earrings.

Meanwhile, King Felipe, 55, wore a navy pinstripe suit to the gallery opening.

Raja styled his suit with a white shirt and a navy-and-red printed tie and black patent leather shoes.

The Royal Collections Gallery – which officially opens this evening – is now one of the largest museums in Europe and was designed by architects Emilio Tunon and Luis Moreno Mancilla.

It will display hundreds of medieval artefacts and artefacts belonging to the Spanish Crown.

The idea for the museum, which cost €170m, was first proposed in 1935 – but was shelved as a result of the civil war.

The building spans 8,000 square meters of space and six floors of exhibition space.

Earlier this month, King Felipe traveled to London to see Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz defeat Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon men’s singles final.

The Spanish king, 55, looked delighted as the 20-year-old took center court by storm to win his first Wimbledon title and remain world number one.

After the match, Spaniard Alcaraz joked about how King Felipe was his lucky charm, saying: ”Playing in front of royalty is special.

‘King Felipe, I am really proud that you are here supporting me.

‘When I have played twice in front of you, won twice, I hope you will come again! It’s really special and I have to thank you for coming and supporting me.’
