Dramatic moment man wrestles knife-wielding thug in middle of street after stabbing him to disarm him
Dramatic footage shows a man disarming a knife-wielding thug after repeatedly stabbing him during a brawl in the middle of the street.
The video shows two men brawling on Slade Road in Erdington, Birmingham, which has previously been described as ‘Britain’s roughest road’.
The clip shows the pair wrestling in the middle of the road as cars drive by and passers-by watch in shock at 7.40pm on July 18. The knifeman lost control of the weapon before calmly walking away as a distressed bystander shouted ‘call the police’.
A man was taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after being stabbed in the collision.

The video shows the two men wrestling and a bystander can be heard saying: ‘He’s stabbing her, he’s taken that knife about ten times you know.’
A female witness then repeatedly shouted ‘call the police’ until the fight ended abruptly when one of the men got up and casually walked away.
Birmingham’s Slade Road has been dubbed ‘Britain’s roughest street’ with residents claiming it is plagued by ‘£1 prostitutes, drug pushers and gangs’, according to the Birmingham Post.
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that a male victim was ‘seriously injured’ following the collision last Tuesday evening.
A spokesman for the service said: ‘We were called to reports of a stabbing at the junction of Kings Road and Slade Road at 7.50pm on Tuesday.
‘An ambulance, a paramedic officer and a merit trauma doctor attended the scene.
‘On arrival we discovered a patient, a man, who was treated for serious injuries before being taken to hospital.’
A West Midlands Police spokesman added: ‘We are investigating after a man was stabbed near Slade Road, Erdington, at around 7.40pm on Tuesday (July 18).
‘One person was taken to hospital with injuries which were not life threatening. We are searching the area.
‘We are aware of a video shared on social media over the weekend, and we would ask anyone with information to assist our investigation to contact us.
‘Contact us via live chat on our website or by calling 101 and quoting crime reference number 20/624953/23.’

The footage has been viewed more than 11,000 times after being uploaded to the Burmese Is Grime blog.
The video comes after police tackled a knife-wielding employee at a McDonald’s restaurant in Birmingham city center on July 23.
