Olympic swimming champion Kaylee McKeown gave a big ‘f**k you’ order to swimming organizers after she was disqualified from the world championships and stripped of a potential medal.
McCune and Aussie officials are confused after he was disqualified from the 200m individual medley semi-finals on Sunday night.
The judges decided he had breached the stroke rules when he switched from the backstroke to the breaststroke – but McCune argued he had done nothing wrong.
‘I didn’t see it last night, but this morning I saw the footage (see below) and I cried a bit,’ McCune said.
‘It was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster but you know, it’s sport and that’s what happens in sport. Unfortunately, some people are just dealt bad hands and I dealt with those bad hands.

‘It’s a matter of trying to flip it into a positive and just give the big F-you kind of thing.’
Australian head coach Rohan Taylor filed a formal protest to reinstate McCune, but it was rejected.
‘It’s done, they didn’t say no, they kept it. I don’t agree 100% but I don’t think it’s definitive. This is what we protested,’ he said.
‘I saw the video … it’s about the angle. I said I don’t think it’s specific and that’s what we protested but they said they stand by it.
‘At the end of the day that’s the rule. They have it, they don’t want you to go over 90 degrees. I disagree but rules are rules.
‘They have cameras in every lane. That’s why it’s taking so long in summer, because they’re reviewing everything, looking at things.
‘The world we live in now is absolutely going to be. That’s where it’s going to be… he’ll learn from it. He must go next.’
McKeown said her disqualification from the medley only motivated her to win more races, including her pet event – the 100m backstroke.

‘You have to go with what they say. That’s the rule and I apparently broke the rule. There’s not much I can do about it,’ she said.
‘I really can’t waste time. Americans and Canadians are coming in left, right and centre. So I have to put my best foot forward and see where it takes me over the next two days.’
McCune famously dropped the F-bomb in a live poolside interview after winning gold in the 100m backstroke at the Tokyo Games.
The Aussie star was also photographed giving her sister Taylor the middle finger after she won silver in the 200m medley at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
