An abandoned baby girl who was ‘left for wild animals to eat’ in a garbage bag was discovered by a stray dog ​​and taken to safety, according to reports.

The animal found the baby girl, whose age is unknown, in a bean bag in the town hall of the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli on Wednesday.

The dog then dragged the bag with the newborn in it, when a man walked by and heard a cry coming from it, The National reported.

A passer-by took the child to the Islamic Hospital before transferring it to the Tripoli Government Hospital.

His condition was described as serious but stable, with people describing his survival in the tragic incident as a ‘miracle’.
