American superstar Lizzo made a low-key arrival on the Gold Coast ahead of their scheduled appearance at a major Australian event this week.

The star, who is a chart-topping musician and businesswoman, tried to fly under the radar on Wednesday as she stepped off her private jet wearing a brown tracksuit with a hood.

The About Damn Time hitmaker, 35, is set to perform at Byron Bay’s Splendor in the Grass on Friday, as he continues his special tour of Australia and New Zealand.

He was joined at the airport on Wednesday by members of his team, who helped him down the steps of his private jet.

After arriving on the tarmac, the Good As Hell singer was directed to the back of a black car.

It comes after Lizzo wowed Aussie fans by correctly pronouncing the word ‘Melbourne’ while performing on stage in the Victorian capital earlier this week.

In concert footage shared on TikTok, he said: ‘Melbourne now. Do I get extra points for saying no mail-born? Mail-bin!’

The fans went wild with the crowd screaming in delight at Lizzo’s ‘honourable’ nod to the Australian accent.

Others jumped into the comments of the TikTok video to praise her, with one person writing, ‘Representing Melbourne’, while another simply said: ‘Melbin.’

It came just moments after the About Damn Time hitmaker overcame a major technical glitch like a pro.

The singer was forced to perform her hit Truth Hearts in relative obscurity after her spotlight left.

‘Can the lamp be lit again?’ he asked his production crew, reported the Herald Sun.

‘Did we pay the light bill, b**ch?’ he added, which was met with ecstatic laughter from the sold-out crowd.

However, the star didn’t let it derail her show as she then asked viewers to ‘use your imagination’ before acting in the dark.

As his team scrambled to fix the issue, Lizzo took to the moshpit to sign autographs and take selfies until the issue was resolved.

In typical Lizzo style, the American singer said her mission for the night was to spread self-love and positivity.

Lizzo headlines the first day of Splendor in the Grass on Friday, alongside the likes of Lewis Capaldi, J Balvin, Slothie, Ball Park Music and Ruel.
