Chris Means reveals his annoying habits that turn his wife Anna off

NSW Premier Chris Minns made a bizarre admission during a radio interview on Wednesday.

Mr Means says he often pauses funny TV shows and films to ‘make a joke and laugh at it’ and it drives his wife Anna crazy.

The 43-year-old politician appeared on Nova’s Fizzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie to discuss what annoying habits she has at home behind closed doors.

‘I pause to make a joke, to laugh. And [Anna] Think the movie should flow,’ Mr Means told hosts Ryan Fitzgerald, Michael Wipfli and Kate.

Fitzy, 46, was by Anna’s side as she replied: ‘You can still laugh and stream the movie.’

‘No, but you’re missing the next joke, aren’t you?’ The one-time stay-at-home dad replied.

‘So you stop after every joke?’ Wippa, 43, asked.

Meanwhile, Kate, 44, quipped: ‘Are you fit to laugh in a beanbag or something?’

The politician, 43, appeared on Nova’s Fizzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie to discuss what annoying habits she has at home behind closed doors.

‘I was like yes,’ says the former firefighter, who recently did the boring thing while watching The In-Lodge on Netflix.

Wippa struggled to wrap her head around him and asked Mr Means: ‘Wait a minute then. You hear a funny line. Everyone’s laughing and you’re pausing to enjoy the laughter?’

Mr Means went on to explain: ‘Well [Anna] This has been debated. He was quite unhappy about it and it came up at a dinner party and I made the mistake of saying: “Okay, I want to make sure you get the joke.” He was not impressed.’

When Mr Minns won the NSW state election in March, campaign insiders were shocked by the size of his landslide victory.

There was an expectation that he would have to turn to the Greens or independent MPs to form a minority government.

Few in the Labor camp believed she would secure a decisive majority mandate to become NSW’s 47th premier – a two-party coalition favored a majority of 54.3 per cent to 43.7 per cent.

At one point before his victory, Mr Means stepped away from politics to become a stay-at-home father to his three sons, allowing Anna, a business owner and former public prosecutor, to focus all his energy on her career.
