Meanwhile, Coleman Spield of The Daily Beast was impressed by the film.

Katie Walsh of Tribune News Service called the film ‘a gorgeously silly cinematic confection wrapped in a barbed statement.’
Others, including Tomris Lafley of The Wrap, praised the film for being lively.
‘Beneath all the constant fuchsia is a soulful film. Who has heart and ambition as well as a lot of beauty, inside and out.’
