Mum-to-be outraged after baker creates bizarre tropical cake for her ‘woodland animal’ themed baby shower

Mom ordered wood themed cake for baby shower received a blue cake with ‘nothing’ on it

A mother is left scratching her head after receiving a very ordinary cake from a baker that looked nothing like what she wanted.

The woman ordered a ‘Woodland Animals’-themed cake for her baby shower which was decorated with animal woodland leaves, acorns and flowers.

However, she was disappointed to find that she was given a turquoise blue cake with barely any decorations, two ‘tropical’ palm leaves and a poorly piped ‘Welcome Baby’ message in the middle.

The distraught mum said the baker had sent her pictures of other ‘perfect’ ‘cottagecore’-style cakes to help her decide what style she wanted so she was confused how they got it so wrong.

Hundreds of online ‘epic’ cake ‘fails’ were shocked and encouraged the customer to demand a refund from the baker.

A mum was left furious after she ordered a ‘woodland creature’ themed cake for her baby shower but received one with ‘basically nothing on it’

‘The baby shower was a woodland animal/cottage core-themed shade of green with gold as the accent color,’ the mom explained in a Facebook post to the What I Asked For VS What I Got group.

She shared a photo of the kind of cake she wanted, which was white and brown and decorated with a sweet fox and hedgehog, as well as flower branches and acorns.

‘The other pictures of the cake that the baker sent me to confirm the type of cake were filled with lots of animals and mushrooms and trees and flowers.’

‘I said something along these lines would be perfect. What I got was a blue-ish cake with basically nothing on it.’

Some thought the confusing cake mix-up was hysterical while others slammed the makers for their ‘sloppy’ work.

The mum said the baker had sent her pictures of other ‘perfect’ ‘cottagecore’-style cakes (pictured) to decide what style she wanted so she was confused how they got it so wrong.

‘Are you kidding me? It’s jungle themed, not woodland at all, I’d be so upset and refuse to pay for something I didn’t want,’ said one member.

‘The only thing they have in common is that they’re both cakes,’ joked a second.

‘Imagine having the irrational confidence to do this, hand it over to your customer and expect payment. Wild,’ added a third.

‘I could make a better cake. And I don’t know how to bake a cake,’ someone shouted.

‘I’m so sorry I actually laughed out loud at this! Could they make it fun anymore?’ asked another.

One woman speculated that Baker had ‘forgotten’ about the woman’s order and hastily ‘thrown it together’.

‘The pages are just outlines and look terrible and the font is terrible. I’m so sorry this happened to you, you should get your money back and that cake decorator needs to be fired,’ she said.

‘It looks like they forgot to make your cake and had an ‘ohs***’ moment when you came to pick it up and pulled a random turquoise cake out of the fridge and scribbled some leaves on it,’ agreed another.
