Police wait outside KIIS FM studios for serial driving offender Kyle Sandilands...

He is often on the radar of police and parking inspectors, often racking up thousands of dollars in fines over the course of a year.

And Kyle Sandilands was in trouble again on Tuesday morning, when the radio star, 52, pulled into the studios of KIIS FM and police were ‘waiting’ for him outside.

In the video shared on The Kyle and Jackie O Show’s Instagram accounts, several cops were ‘waiting for Kyle’ when the radio star arrived at his studio at 5:30am.

Officers approached Sandiland as he exited his $250,000 Cadillac Escalade Platinum 4WD.

But in audio recorded by station staff, Sandilands can be heard deftly getting himself out of trouble.

Show employees revealed on air that the police had spoken to them while waiting for Kyle to arrive on that morning’s show.

However, it turned out that the police only wanted to speak to the father of one who made the comment on air.

‘Highway patrol buddy[s], they came out and they said, “Listen, we heard you say on the air that you think Tamara’s behind you.” And they’ve come to tell me they’re not after me.’

Kyle remained skeptical, telling officers he was concerned because he only had ‘four points’ left on his driver’s licence.

But the interaction ended on good terms, with Kyle ringing an officer’s fiance who was a fan of the show and telling her he found ‘a good one’ in his law enforcement agency.

In 2021, Sandilands admitted that he had accumulated nearly $16,000 worth of fines from that year alone.

‘Sometimes I go through parking, I’ve seen it with my own eyes,’ Kyle said while speaking with his manager and good friend Bruno Bochet on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Bruno added some parking rangers don’t bother fining Kyle because they know he won’t get cash.

‘There are a number of rangers who will never book you… they are good people, fans of the show and know that booking you anyway is more trouble than it’s worth,’ said Bruno.

Kyle says he refuses to buy tickets outright.

‘I never buy a ticket, I’m telling the local council, I’m not giving you $4, screw yourself!’ Kyle explained.

Kyle, Bruno and Jackie then break down the stats.

Kyle said he had 18 fines for ‘parking longer than specified’ in a zone, totaling up to $2,088.

For disobeying a stop sign 25 times, Kyle will have to cough up $5,675.

Charged with 42 violations for stopping in a loading zone, he must pay a total of $8,148 in restitution.

Total tears for this year come to $15,911.

Jackie couldn’t believe the image and told Kyle it was a ‘waste of money’.

Kyle admits that sometimes he doesn’t see ticket fines on his car window screen and mistakes them for Domino’s flyers.

$16,000 is a drop in the ocean for Kyle, who earns a whopping $5 million a year for co-hosting The Kyle and Jackie O Show and driving a $380,000 Bentley.

In 2019, he added to his car collection, getting a $1.3 million Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Jake Challenor, publisher of industry bible Radio Today, says Kyle and Jackie are paid $5 million a year to host Sydney’s top-rated FM breakfast show.
