Boney M Singer Liz Mitchell ‘Hospitalized After Crashing Her Car While Visiting Her Brother In Prison’
Boney M singer Liz Mitchell was reportedly rushed to hospital after her car crash.
The disco legend, 71, was visiting his brother in the market town of Cambridgeshire when he accidentally drove his car into a ditch.
According to reports, Liz sustained minor injuries during the accident on Thursday and is now recovering at home.
A source told The Sun: ‘Liz was shaken up after the smash, but luckily escaped serious injury.
‘That section of the A47 has a reputation for being dangerous and it could have been worse.’

MailOnline has contacted Liz’s representatives for comment.
Liz, who was traveling with a male passenger, was supposed to visit her brother Khalid Rashad at Whitemoor Prison, where he is serving a life sentence.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman told the publication: ‘We were called at 11.37am on July 13 to reports of a collision on the A47 at Thorney Toll.
‘A car was involved and was found lying in a ditch. The driver, a woman, was initially trapped in the vehicle but was extricated and a male passenger was able to get out. Officers and paramedics attended the scene. No serious injuries were reported. The road was cleared at 1:20 p.m.’
East of England Ambulance Service confirmed an ambulance was called to the scene, with ‘a woman’ taken to Peterborough City Hospital for ‘further care’.
Liz was the lead singer of Boney M – which included herself, Bobby Farrell, Maisie Williams and Marcia Barrett – one of the most successful bands of the late 1970s.
The band’s hits included Daddy Cool, Ma Baker and Rasputin. In fact, their version of Mary’s Boy Child – Oh My Lord was a Christmas No.1 in 1978 and is the tenth best-selling single of all time in Britain.
The double A-sided singles Brown Girl in the Ring and Daddy Cool, also released in 1978, were the best-selling singles of that year.

The band Boney M was put together by German singer-songwriter Frank Farian, who also produced most of the vocals for the group.
Liz is still singing and performing in countries around the world.
Liz’s brother Khalid, a Muslim convert, was sentenced to a minimum of 32 years in prison after orchestrating the assassination of rival mosque leader Abdul Hadi Arwani.
Iraqi war veteran Leslie Cooper, 37, executed Abdul, 48, with a MAC-10 machine gun as he sat in his Volkswagen Passat in Wembley, north-west London.

Rashad was born Burnell ‘Bernie’ Mitchell, but changed his name after converting to Islam.
Rashad was locked in a legal battle with Mr Arwani as he tried to evict him from the An-Noor Cultural and Community Center in Church Road, Acton.
Cooper and Rashad – both Jamaican-born Muslim converts – were each sentenced to at least 32 years in prison in 2016 for the murders after a trial.
