Major police operation in western Sydney as gunshots were fired and drivers were issued strict warnings
A man has been arrested in Blue Mountains after an officer allegedly discharged his firearm after being chased by police.
A man has been arrested following a major police raid in which an officer discharged his firearm.
The provocative incident started at Lalor Park around 9:30 am on Thursday.
It is alleged that police chased a black Holden Commodore from the driving area to the Blue Mountains.
Drivers have been urged to ‘use caution’ due to ‘increased police activity’.
Specialist operators from the Tactical Operations Unit conducted a high-risk vehicle stop and arrested the man on the Great Western Highway in Katoomba near Woodlands Road at 11:40am.
