A lucky couple who won a $20 million lottery prize have revealed how they plan to spend a large portion of their new fortune on charity.
Winners from Wanneroo, 40 kilometers north of Perth in Western Australia, say they’ll be scooping a bigger Lotto jackpot as they look forward to a life of luxury with more free time.
‘I have been playing for the last 35 years,’ the winner told LotteryWest.
‘The opportunity to go back to work is wonderful, but my priority is to give back to charity, we are now in a position to help other people.’

Winners from Wanneroo, 40km north of Perth in Western Australia, said they would give away much of the Oz Lotto jackpot as they looked forward to a life of luxury with more free time.
The couple bought their winning tickets at the Watt Grove Shopping Center in Hocking News, more than 20 kilometers south of their home suburb.
They were intrigued to hear that the main prize had gone west again.
‘I knew someone from WA had won and I thought to myself ‘who is that lucky person’?’
The winning numbers were 26, 46, 35, 42, 28, 9 and 4, with supplementary numbers 40, 21 and 47.
The win is WA’s 51st Division One award in 2023.
More than $163 million in Division One prize money went to WA players this year.
