Moments later a flying fish jumped over the tourist boat and knocked the woman's mobile phone into the sea

There’s something sinister about how this woman lost her phone during a boat trip… but you won’t believe it until you see it!

Neresa Ursal Maquilan ruined her trip off the coast of Leyte Island, the 10-inch fish managed to knock the phone off the moving speedboat Neresa wasn’t even aware of after watching the video.

A woman’s phone was destroyed by a flying fish during a boat trip off the coast of the Philippines.

Last month, a 10-inch-long silverfish rose from the waves on one side of a speedboat, snatched the mobile from Neresa Ursal Macillan’s hand and threw it into the deep on the other side.

Neresa, who posed for a photo in the middle of her trip off the coast of an island called Leyte, looked down at her bare hands in shock.

After the shocking moment Neressa looked down at her bare hands in shock

Neresa’s relative, and videographer of the moment, Cha Ursal revealed that they were traveling to visit the cemetery where their late aunt is buried.

They asked the boatman for help, but dived into the water to look for the phone, Cha added.

But there was another unexpected twist in the story.

Cha explained: ‘That night, it was Bata.

‘Someone found the phone on the shore and it was returned to us. But it is already broken due to water damage.

‘My cousin’s brother-in-law then bought her a new phone. So the event turned out to be a blessing.

‘It’s rare for something like this to happen, so we feel special.’
