A Coles survey of more than 9,000 Australians revealed that 85 per cent of us are making changes to reduce the cost of our grocery bills.

That number rises to 92 percent for young families, who are said to be more likely to buy in bulk (26 percent) than everyone else (18 percent).

Deb Gale, general manager of health and home at Coles, said Coles is committed to helping customers save time and money at the checkout every week.

‘We know Australians are looking for ways to reduce the cost of weekly grocery shopping and our Big Pack Value range offers savings on essentials for family members week after week,’ he said.

With over 80 bulk-sized household products from trusted brands such as Huggies, Duracell batteries, Biojet laundry detergent and Colgate toothpaste, the range will encourage customers to stock up and save.

‘By offering bulk products, we hope to take some of the pressure off the weekly shop, and with some products lasting a household for around a year, customers can also save time shopping by stocking up.’
